Sleep Disorders

Obstructive Sleep Apnea: This disorder affects a small amount of the population.  Obstructive Sleep Apnea occurs when the upper airway is blocked during sleep.  This creates loud disturbing snoring as well as several interruptions during the night.

Narcolepsy: Narcolepsy is one of the most dangerous disorders.  This disorder causes a dysfunction in the brain that makes a person spontaneously fall asleep.  This can occur at any time whether a person is walking, talking, sitting down, driving, or other activities.

Insomnia: Insomnia is a disorder that makes it extremely difficult for people to fall asleep.  People with insomnia often have difficulty falling asleep, will wake up during the night and not be able to return to sleep, will wake up too early in the morning, or will wake up drowsy and tired.
